This is Wilhelm Braatz.  He first served in the Prussian Army, then served in the U.S. Civil War.  He was born in Germany on March 18, 1831, and Died in the Town of Berlin, Marathon Co., Wisconsin, U.S.A. on June 5, 1877.   His wife, Caroline (Karoline) Charlotte Bohm was born in Vehlingsdorff, Germany on June 6, 1830, and died in the Town of Berlin, Marathon Co., Wisconsin, U.S.A. on January 27, 1898.  The couple was married in Germany, before emigrating to the United States.

This is the wedding picture of Emilie Wilhelmine Braatz, daughter of Wilhelm Braatz, and Max Emil Mathwick, her husband.  They were married 17 Nov. 1876.  Emilie was born on 15 June, 1860 and died on 3 August, 1933.
